En fantastisk reise i whiskyens verden på The Malt Whisky Trail i Skottland!
3.- 7.mai 2012 går Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival av stabelen i Skottland. Bli med på vår årlige spesialtur! Vi skal bo godt, spise godt og selvsagt smake på en mengde ulike whiskyer. Vi har plukket ut noen av de beste destilleriene i Speyside hvor vi skal få opplevelser som du ikke finner ellers i året og som du kun får tilgang på under disse turene.

NB! Flybilletter bestilles separat! Vi hjelper gjerne med å booke flybilletter, og det er fullt mulig med andre tilslutninger enn Gardermoen.
Program:
Torsdag 3.mai:
xx:xx Avreise fra Gardermoen med SAS til Aberdeen via Stavanger.
Vi blir hentet med buss på flyplassen i Aberdeen, og reiser til Speyside, ca 1,5 times kjøretur.
Ankomst Speyside. Innsjekk og avslapning på Culdearn
Vi bytter til finstasen og reiser til Openind Dinner og whisky Awards på Macallan Distillery.
18:00 Spirit of Speyside Whisky Awards
Don't miss the 2012 Finals of these internationally renowned awards. Visitors to the Festival are invited to take part in the judging! The awards are being held just before the Opening Dinner. You will enjoy six magnificent malt whiskies and get to vote for the best to win from each of the three categories. This is the only Malt Whisky Competition that embraces the decisions of the consumer. The winners will be announced at the end of the Opening Dinner.
19:00 Spirit of Speyside Opening Dinner at Macallan Destillery
To celebrate the opening of the Festival join Visitors, whisky experts, writers and distillery personnel at a magnificent Opening Dinner. Over 300 people will gather in the atmospheric venue of one of Speyside's distilleries. On arrival you will be welcomed with a Spirit of Speyside Malt Cocktail. There will be some lively traditional music from local musicians at the start and end of the dinner. During the evening the winners of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Awards will be announced, as well as the overall winner of the photographic competition. The dinner will have a Scottish theme throughout the meal. The food is all locally sourced and will be accompanied by a complimentary dram to match each dish. All in all a very entertaining not-to-be-missed evening. Dress Code: Smart with a hint of Tartan

Besøk på bøkkerverkstedet - Speyside Cooperage Tour
Exclusive to this Festival, this is a unique opportunity to experience the smells, sounds and sights with a very personal tour of the Cooperage at workshop level. View the Coopers work close up and at first hand as they build barrels to exacting standards against the 'clock'
Our experienced guides will accompany you through this truly unique and ancient craft of barrel making, with the grand finale being the firing of a cask. After the tour, visit the shop and browse our range of quality goods crafted from wood - many of which are exclusive to the Cooperage. Then relax in our coffee shop and enjoy light snacks and refreshments which are served throughout the day with seating both inside and on the veranda overlooking the picnic area.

10:00 – 13:30 Cardu Distillery, Aberlour Blend it Like...
In 1893, the Walker family valued the smooth, silky flavour of Cardhu so much they bought the distillery. Every year, hundreds of corporate visitors come to the Home of Johnnie Walker at Cardhu to learn about the brand.
Exclusively for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, we are opening the doors to the Home of Johnnie Walker. We invite you to immerse yourself in the history and heritage of Johnnie Walker, learn about the flavours that underpin these great whiskies and use that knowledge to create your own very special blend. This is a unique opportunity to create your own blended whisky in the Home of the world's No. 1 whisky, Johnnie Walker. You will also enjoy a buffet lunch in the spectacular dining room joined by the distillery manager and take home a sample of your own blended creation.

08:00 Avreise tilbake til Edinburgh med stopp og matkurs på berømte Famous Grouse.
11:00 Ankomst Crieff hvor vi skal besøke det eldste destilleriet i Skottland, Glenturret - The Famous Grouse. Omvisning og matkurs på destilleriet, hvor vi skal kreere vårt eget lekre måltid med tilpassede whiskyer.
16:00 Avreise til flyplassen.
17:30 Arrival at Edinburgh Airport
19:15 Avreise fra Edinburgh tilbake til Oslo med Norwegian.
Pr person kr. 11.800,- pr person i dobbeltrom. Flybillett kommer i tillegg.
Prisen inkluderer transport med buss iht program, 4 overnattinger i dobbeltrom på 4* hotell, alle måltider/ utflukter / innganger som oppgitt i programmet. Reiseleder med på hele turen.
Tillegg i pris for enkeltrom kr. 200,- pr døgn
Ønsker noen andre flytilslutninger, eller ønsker å være igjen i Edinburgh etter reisens slutt så er vi behjelpelige med å skaffe overnatting for ekstra døgn.
Turen forutsetter minimum 8 deltakere for å bli arrangert.
